All Jill wants to do is get out of the city, which isn't going to be easy as it's been barricaded and overrun by those flesh-eating fiends. Picking one of three badasses and just killing anything in site is way more fun and satisfying than you would think.Įxpanding on the foundations of the Umbrella Corporation's T-Virus disaster, you play Jill Valentine, recently resigned member of Racoon City's special forces, and who you may recall was a controllable character from the first game.
RESIDENT EVIL 3 PC PORT SERIES
This is a staple of the series now, but here it was something new and exciting. Once you beat the game, you unlock a new game mode called Mercenaries. Resident Evil 3 is not a very long game, but it is a great ride while it lasts. You can also craft in this game which can come in really handy too.
RESIDENT EVIL 3 PC PORT CODE
You are not struggling for ammo like you were in Code Veronica. While ammo is not as plentiful as it would become in games like Resident Evil 4 to 6. There are not only a ton of things for Jill to kill in this game, but she also has a great arsenal of weapons to use as well. Resident Evil 3, on the other hand, went the other way and at the time was the most action packed of the Resident Evil games. Resident Evil Code Veronica is far more puzzle heavy and more “survival” heavy with its lack of ammo. Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil Code Veronica are a very interesting contrast. He will stalk you as you play and the first time you play the game, you never feel safe and are always worried this maniac is going to burst through the wall and try to kill you! He is such a badass and one of if not the most iconic of all the Resident Evil enemies. The big inclusion of this game and the thing people remember the most is Nemesis. This is a staple of the series now and I had a lot of fun with this mode back in the day and feel that it holds up very well to this day. The Mercenaries game mode is introduced here and it is a blast! You have a short amount of time and items to blast your way through a streamlined story.
So, while it does not have the multiple campaigns that Resident Evil 2 had to offer, you are rewarded for playing through the campaign again and doing different things. This happens on a few different occasions and the choices you make can shape the story and give you a different ending.
One thing that I thought was really cool in Resident Evil 3 was how they let you make decisions in the game. However, there is more ammo and the ability to make ammo with gunpowder very rarely leaves you struggling for ammo like you would in Code Veronica. There are still plenty of puzzles for you to solve here. The gameplay feels a bit more action packed and faster-paced. To start with she had a dodge move and this was the game that introduced the ability to allow you to quickly turn around in a 180. Jill has the same tank controls as in all the other original Resident Evil games, but she is a bit nimbler here. While Resident Evil 3 is a shorter game than its predecessor. However, this game came out around 6 months before Code Veronica which blew it away visually. The character models are solid and the cut scenes as you would expect are fantastic. I feel that the backgrounds, in particular, are sharper than what the second game had to offer. There was so much story content in Resident Evil 2 and by comparison, this one here feels much shorter. This time you play as Jill Valentine as she tries to get out of the city, expose what is going on, and deal with the hulking monster that is Nemesis! The story is pretty solid, but it lacks that wow factor Resident Evil 2 had. The story of Resident Evil 3 takes place before and after what goes down in Resident Evil 2. This was originally released on PlayStation, but PC, Dreamcast, and GameCube would also get a port. however, it is probably one of my least played of the original Resident Evil games. For me, this is a game that I like, I really do like this game…. Resident Evil 3 had the unenvious task of coming out in between Resident Evil 2 and Code Veronica! It was a tall task to follow on from the phenomenal ambitious 2 and then come out before the first next-generation Resident Evil game.
